Exploring Matter with Neutrons CD-ROM

Exploring matter with Neutrons CD-ROM, the second tome of the NANOPOLIS™ encyclopedia series, was officially released on July 30, 2004.

Exploring Matter with Neutrons
offers a unique and fascinating insight into the world of neutrons, allowing you to discover neutron sources, the tools employed by neutron science, neutron research and modern neutron facilities from all over the world.

The Exploring Matter with Neutrons encyclopedia is the outcome of a very tight collaboration with the international consortium formed by the most prestigious neutron institutions: Institut Laue-Langevin, France; Los Alamos Neutron Science Center, USA; ISIS Pulsed Neutron & Muon Source, Great Britain; GKSS Forschungszentrum, Germany; Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany; Hahn Meitner Institut, Germany; Laboratoire Leon Brillouin (CEA-CNRS), France.

Exploring matter with Neutrons is presented on a multimedia CD-ROM, which is PC – Windows compatible. A Mac compatible version will be released soon.

Find out more and buy online on the Neutrons web page.

This encyclopedic volume is part of Nanopolis™, the series gathering the knowledge of the entire spectrum of exploring and manipulating matter at the nanoscale: synchrotron light, neutrons and nanotechnology.

The 1st volume, "Exploring Matter with Synchrotron Light" has already been released, presenting a consortium of some major synchrotron research centers - European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (France), Advanced Photon Source (USA), Canadian Light Source, Soleil Synchrotron (France) and some updates.

The 3rd volume of the Nanopolis™ series, "Exploring Nanotechnology", is currently under development and covers the research domains spawned by the emergence of new exploration techniques in the last few years.
