iMediaSoft Group acquainted with the outstanding performance of one of its divisions, Nanopolis, the portal exclusively dedicated to multimedia in nanotechnology knowledge. It successfully turned into a self-supporting business and has recently been "spun-off" by the iMediaSoft Group. The new business established its headquarters in Bucharest, Romania to ensure transition with the iMediasoft staff that bring over ten years of know-how in interactive knowledge transfer solutions.

Moreover, this would also be compatible with online evaluation and class management tools.

Based on a very advanced and up-to-date e-collaborative platform in the field of nano-biotechnology and science, Nanopolis has published more than 3,000 e-learning pages in the field of Synchrotron Light, Neutrons and Nanotechnology. This co-editorial procedure made possible the gathering of over 350 academic research groups.

The goals that Nanopolis is aiming for in 2007 are:

  • Improve its interactive communication platform, dedicated to researchers who wish to represent their work through animations and graphics.

The concept of a virtual project environment provides the user access to a peer group that comprises of a worldwide network of people sharing the same interest, who will review, validate and endorse the Nanopolis content. This electronic protocol for scientific validation of multimedia presentations is being developed in order to bring more validated opinions on each topic.

  • “Exploring Nano-Biotechnology”

The next Nanopolis volume is being presently developed as an encyclopedia that will offer explanations of new and improved analytic techniques in biotechnology, deeper understanding of diseases, deciphering of cellular mechanisms and novel drug development techniques.
